In theory, yes. The image file just contains a byte for byte copy of every storage location in the card that was visible to the OS under which the backup program was run.

But that means the backup file size is exactly the same size as the formatted capacity of the card and the restore process will attempt to write that exact same number of bytes to the new card. However you may find that the new card has slightly less actual capacity than the other one. Even though they are both the same nominal size. Even though they are the same make and model number. Even from the same batch.

If that is the case, the Imager verification step will fail.
I see.. if that is the case then how should I backup my other SD card using the backup.img file I have?
