I don't recall having seen a bug report for any issue until now - we can't act if we don't know there is an issue.

I'm trying to track the history.
https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/pull/4862 seems to have been the original PR.
I think we've lost one of those 2 patches in the forward porting from 5.10 to 6.1 and then 6.6, with https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/co ... 36c1a3ef7b being a hack to get the tree building again.

Yes you can request a rotation of the console via video=...,rotate=N, but that is limited to the console only rather than attaching the appropriate property to the connector.
Thanks for your response.

My criticism of pimoroni support has little to do with this particular issue and more to do with the general support and customer interaction of the hyperpixel displays in general. Just look at the issues on github. There are issues that are many years old and totally unresponded to. If you explore the issues its pretty clear that pimoroni has little intention in supporting the hardware product with the appropriate and up-to-date software - leaving users to fumble their way through it. I've no idea if this is explicitly particular to the hyperpixel line. The only other product I use right now is the nvme hat for the pi5. I get it, its a lot of work to keep up with the constantly changing raspberry pi ecosystem, but when you're putting product on retail store shelves, you damned sure should be fully supporting it in my opinion. If any joe shmoe that doesn't know jack about linux or raspberry pi's picks this up off the shelf, they'd end up returning it costing everyone and unnecessary amount of time and money.
