I had a look at the bus using a LA1010 logic analyzer. The protocol decoders of KingstVIS are pretty limited.
From what I have seen, the difference between PC and PI is that on the PI, the "URB_INTERRUPT in" on the bus comes before the "SET_REPORT Request" is answered by the device whereas on the PC it comes after. On the PI the device then never answers the "SET_REPORT Request".
I don't know whether both orders are legal according the USB spec or not.
However I think it should be possible somewhere in the USB or HID driver to enforce the order.
I tried to attach the recorded data but the forum refuses to a 3.5 MB file as too big.
