You could plug the PSU into a traditional mechanical mains timer switch. You can have the Pi shut itself down before the timer switch kills power so no harm will be done when it does kill the power.not sure I want to get a module added to have it automatically reboot in the morning.
The risk is that the timer switch gets out of sync with the real world. That can be handled by the Pi not shutting down at a specific time but after an elapsed time shorter than the timer switch on period. The Pi can also determine when it was powered on and tell if that has slipped from when would be expected, report that.
Handling DST changes might be interesting; you don't want to turn the timer dial and have power-on and then a sudden power-off while adjusting. The inconvenience there is probably less than having to push a power-on button every morning.
Or simply keep the Pi powered 24/7 and only switch the display power.
