Let's face it, we're not going to get the kind of ADC an STM32H723VE has.
I'd like to understand why that is. The STM32H7 prices from USD2.2699 in 100-off quantities from LCSC.
We don't have pricing on the RP2350 chips yet but lets say USD1.00 in 100-off (RP2040 is 0.735)
Now we can't know what part of the notional 1.3 dollar delta is related to the high quality ADC but probably not a great deal.
We assume RPI buy in things like the silicon design for the ADC so why not buy in a good one? - it clearly can be done.
On the H7 with a suitable ADCREF I can do things like read thermocouple voltages direct on the chip. This opens up so many applications that can only be done with a RP chip with an external ADC in which case the H7 ends up cheaper.
