I'd like to understand why that is. The STM32H7 prices from USD2.2699 in 100-off quantities from LCSC.Let's face it, we're not going to get the kind of ADC an STM32H723VE has.
We don't have pricing on the RP2350 chips yet but lets say USD1.00 in 100-off (RP2040 is 0.735)
Now we can't know what part of the notional 1.3 dollar delta is related to the high quality ADC but probably not a great deal.
We assume RPI buy in things like the silicon design for the ADC so why not buy in a good one? - it clearly can be done.
On the H7 with a suitable ADCREF I can do things like read thermocouple voltages direct on the chip. This opens up so many applications that can only be done with a RP chip with an external ADC in which case the H7 ends up cheaper.
