It is an incremental rotary encoder (with transmissive optical sensor TSCT 2300). The current working speed generates a pulse at 120Hz, but I would like to be able to increase the accuracy and thus probably reach around 1,2khz. And since I'm at it, why not try to make it so I can reach a higher frequency that I could safely use (for other device, later, once this one is done and I'm happy with it).
