2e8a:000d when plugged into a USB2 hub on a Pi 5, when plugged in to USB3 port, you also have a second VID 2e8a:000e as it appears as two hubs.

It is NOT USB-PD, so would be limited to 3A on the Pi 5 PS.
Thanks for the clarifications. If I converted the 6A 5V PSU's I have for my USB2 hubs to USB-C would that allow 1.5A on each of the four ports simultaneously ?

What is the maximum current at 5V which can pass through the USB-C connector and tracks ?
There is an internal limit of 5v5A but note, any input current >3A is against the USB specification (5v3A), so is unsupported so you do this at your own risk.
