I've written a python script to capture DNG images in a similar way with the gain and AWB all set to 1.0 using libcamera. I only got 64 samples but it looks like the plateau is gone so I think you were right, nice one!

Can I check my understanding is correct. Were you suggesting the gain profile looks like this:

The next thing I will test is if the dark current dissapears. That takes a bit longer due to the longer exposure times, so I will update on this tomorrow.
