Yes, it's strange, I've been working with it for many hours now, it's estimated that the first trigger pulse only works every 10 to 20 times, otherwise it triggers on the second trigger pulse.
I always trigger the XTR pin, only an oscilloscope is connected to XVS and XHS for checking.
Very interesting is, that at every first XTR trigger pulse (blue/C2), an XVS (orange/C1) is generated correctly on the camera module, only libcamera-still does not react. This behaviour could be observed and reproduced again and again, tested on two Pi4B, Bookworm and Bullseye and two Raspi GS cam and two native Arducam IMX296 B0445 (like Raspi GS only no resistor R11 to desolder and all signals on 2.54mm pitch).
