CM5 that came with the Dev. Kit (CM5104032) is still running fine after 5 hours, my CM5 Lite w/o WiFi wouldn't ever run more than 2 hours before shutting down.Interesting. I have the CM5 that came with the Dev. Kit (32G eMMC + WiFi). I'll try that and verify if it works as expected. I'm supposed to have a couple of other CM5 lites I could use for additional testing, but I got shipped the wrong model by mistake so they got sent back and now I'm waiting for there to be stock again.
I've ordered a CM5 lite with WiFi to hopefully see if it's the eMMC or the wireless that's the issue. I also need to hook up the debug serial port to see if anything interesting is printed to the console before the CM5 reboots.
It would still be good to hear from the RPi engineers regarding exactly what can cause a CM5 to instantly shutdown vs. throttle due to over temp. or cleanly shutdown.
