This has been driving me nuts for a while now, specs are as follows:
- RPi 4
- Crucial P3 2TB NVMe in UGREEN USB 3.2 10gbps Enclosure, with generic USB A-to-C adapter (all tested on Windows PC ~400MB/s)
- All network links between relevant devices are 10/100/1000 + Gigabit virgin media internet connection (Get gigabit speed while doing speed test from the Rpi)
The Issue:
Network transfer to the mounted NVME USB caps at 20MB/s (160Mbit/s) making ripped 4k video buffer to my wired Apple TV (Apple TV also gets 1gbps internet speed test).
All testable hardware in the stack is capable of ~400MB/s separately - the only untestable hardware (without also testing the entire setup) is the RPi itself - when I FTP transfer it caps @ 20MB/s and it confuses me. The Rpi must be the bottleneck, but how do I test this? Is the bottleneck the Pi's PCI specs?
As per every troubleshooting post, any help is greatly appreciated!
