That would seem correct to me. The additional hardware being a USB-to-UART interface or a Raspberry Pi Debug Probe. Plus DuPont jumpers or something else to connect them together.As I understand it, the "Hello World" output goes to UART pins on the Pico, not the built-in USB. I would need to convert the UART output to USB which I assume would be a piece of hardware to do the conversion.
Possibly. I don't know enough about VS Code to know what built-in capabilities it has for displaying the output from serial ports or interacting with them, what the situation is when using a Raspberry Pi Debug Probe.Also then a separate program to read the second com port and display, instead of using the bult-in Output panel on VS.
