Ugh.. hi.

I managed to install the latest Hyprland on Raspbian 64-bit Lite, upgraded to Debian 13 (trixie/sid), and then changed the source back to Debian 12 (bookworm). I managed to get almost everything working from JaKooLit's install script. https://github.com/JaKooLit/Debian-Hyprland.

Here is a link for a brief overview of how I did it: https://github.com/nspsck/Hyprland-on-Raspberrypi

Since Ubuntu has so many background services (actually not that much, but if you run into errors, that reporting system kicks in hard), Arch Linux Arm is likely dead (and their toolchains are very very very very very very very behind), Kali has poor hardware support for the Pis and comes with tons security tools which you might not need, so Debian (Raspbian) was my last shot. Pretty happy that this worked out. So I am here to share my excitement as well as look for suggestions in improving the procedure to make this easier and less buggy experience for people who daily drive a Pi to have a fresh breath in Hyprland.

PS. Now, I need to sleep, gn, and in case it worked for you: have fun!
