Why should it be different?
This is because if I refer to the DSI signal guidelines, they are differential signal and should be routed as 100ohm differential pair. The FFC cable is just having conductors that are straight through, most probably for single-ended usage? As for FPC it is a printed circuit cable which has better impedance control especially for LVDS signals. I take a look on the only Raspberry Pi-5 DSI cable, it is indeed an FPC cable but it is 22-way to 15-way which now I'm looking for 22-way to 22-way. I wonder if it is a strict requirement whether we should use FPC cable for DSI output.
