Camera board • Re: Sawtooth Pattern in Dark Current Readings

Was pondering whether it might be related to the on-sensor DPC activating and trying to 'fix' any isolated high value pixels when their values
rose above some threshold. (Just a thought as not sure whether it works dynamically like that??)

The two plots below are (sparsely populated) versions of the dark field mean DU (averaged over the full sensor array) vs Exposure plots, with and without DPC enabled. The results would seem to show that the discontinuity isn't caused by some quirk of the DPC function, (but did highlight the effectiveness of the DPC in masking some very 'hot' pixels on the array in my sensor!!)
Sensor Temperature was reporting 22 deg C before and after the test runs.

So these plots don't really add anything to the story, other than confirming the discontinuity seems systematic, but popping them up anyway.

Final plot shows the maximum individual pixel value found on the array with DPC enabled. The most sensitive pixels are reaching near saturation at long dark field exposures while the mean and minimum values are still close to black level.

With DPC disabled the 'worst' pixel was at saturation at only a few seconds exposure to the dark field.
