thanks for the info, i will look into that. that being said, i stopped getting cqhci timeout errors on this pi5 after replacing the microsd card.

i just checked and the machine locked up again today. found 10 of these errors last night, every few minutes until the 'future hung task resorts are suppressed message' in journalctl (looks like kernel.hung_task_warnings = 10):

Code:

Dec 17 00:00:37 hostname kernel: INFO: task kworker/0:3:13969 blocked for more than 120 seconds.Dec 17 00:00:37 hostname kernel: Tainted: G WC 6.6.62+rpt-rpi-2712 #1 Debian 1:6.6.62-1+rpt1Dec 17 00:00:38 hostname kernel: "echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs" disables this message.Dec 17 00:00:39 hostname kernel: task:kworker/0:3 state:D stack:0 pid:13969 ppid:2 flags:0x00000008Dec 17 00:00:40 hostname kernel: Workqueue: events_freezable mmc_rescanDec 17 00:00:41 hostname kernel: Call trace:Dec 17 00:00:41 hostname kernel: __switch_to+0xe0/0x148Dec 17 00:00:42 hostname kernel: __schedule+0x37c/0xd60Dec 17 00:00:43 hostname kernel: schedule+0x64/0x108Dec 17 00:00:44 hostname kernel: __mmc_claim_host+0xe0/0x210Dec 17 00:00:44 hostname kernel: mmc_get_card+0x3c/0x58Dec 17 00:00:45 hostname kernel: mmc_sd_detect+0x28/0xa0Dec 17 00:00:46 hostname kernel: mmc_rescan+0x94/0x328Dec 17 00:00:46 hostname kernel: process_one_work+0x148/0x3b8Dec 17 00:00:47 hostname kernel: worker_thread+0x32c/0x450Dec 17 00:00:47 hostname kernel: kthread+0x11c/0x128Dec 17 00:00:48 hostname kernel: ret_from_fork+0x10/0x20Dec 17 00:00:49 hostname kernel: Future hung task reports are suppressed, see sysctl kernel.hung_task_warnings
10 hours later The canary thread is apparently starving errors start appearing again:

Code:

Dec 17 10:28:41 hostname rtkit-daemon[1117]: The canary thread is apparently starving. Taking action.Dec 17 10:28:41 hostname rtkit-daemon[1117]: Demoting known real-time threads.Dec 17 10:28:41 hostname rtkit-daemon[1117]: Successfully demoted thread 1130 of process 1092.Dec 17 10:28:41 hostname rtkit-daemon[1117]: Successfully demoted thread 1092 of process 1092.Dec 17 10:28:41 hostname rtkit-daemon[1117]: Successfully demoted thread 1132 of process 1086.Dec 17 10:28:41 hostname rtkit-daemon[1117]: Successfully demoted thread 1086 of process 1086.Dec 17 10:28:41 hostname rtkit-daemon[1117]: Successfully demoted thread 1191 of process 1091.Dec 17 10:28:41 hostname rtkit-daemon[1117]: Successfully demoted thread 1091 of process 1091.Dec 17 10:28:41 hostname rtkit-daemon[1117]: Demoted 6 threads.
those errors stop on Dec 17 13:39 and then the log continues with some misc UFW messages until Dec 17 17:32 when i found it unresponsive and rebooted it.

Saules8, curious to hear how long your uptime continues for?
